What I’ll Be Wearing This Autumn/Winter - 2021

The clothes that I wear have a big impact on my mood and how I feel about myself. When I put on an outfit that makes me feel amazing, it instantly boosts my mood. It doesn’t need to be a particularly snazzy or sexy outfit – I can chuck on my favourite loungewear and feel great if that’s my mood for the day.

The kind of outfits that I wear and make me feel good definitely changes with the seasons. In Spring/Summer I wear all the pastels, bright colours and bold patterns. In Autumn/Winter I pretty much live in black. Although, I’ve been loving the nude & browns colour palette recently, so there’s a bit of that sneaking into my wardrobe too.

If you follow me on Instagram, take a minute to guess what you think I’ve included in this post and then let me know how many you got in the comments below!

*The majority of outfits are from Primark, so I have linked similar pieces from online retailers for ease.

Shacket
Since purchasing a shacket earlier this year I have completely fallen in love with them. One of my go-to outfits has been a shacket thrown over a more fitted outfit (generally skinny jeans & a bodysuit) which gives the outfit a relaxed vibe.

I spotted this* lilac shacket from ASOS recently and I love it! Although if neutrals are more your vibe, this* gorgeous brown shacket from Topshop would be great. I also love the teddy material and this long shacket from New Look is also in my wish list.

Lounge Sets
I’m sure that I’m not the only one who lived in loungewear during lockdown. But I’m also not ready (and don’t think I ever will be ready) to give it up. So, I’ve been looking for some that I’d be happy to leave the house in (likely worn under a shacket tbh).

I fell in love with Collusion a couple of years ago after getting my boyfriend and brother one of their t-shirts for Christmas. It took me a while to pick a favourite – but I settled on this hoodie* and jogger* combo. Dark grey could definitely become a new Autumn/Winter colour for me – what do you think?

But I then also saw this pale green boxy hoodie & wide leg jogger set from H&M that I’m completely obsessed with! This is very high on my wish list!

Blazer
I never thought blazers would suit me; I’m not really sure why. But after trying one out last year, I have purchased several other since and love them!

One of my favourites in my wardrobe is this pink checked one from Pretty Little Thing (which also has a matching mini skirt and gives me all the Clueless vibes). If you’re looking for a more neutral vibe this* one from ASOS is also beaut!

Wide Leg Jeans
Another item that I wasn’t sure of at first, but has become a major wardrobe staple of mine! I now want to fill my collection with all the coloured wide leg jeans I can find – including these* chocolate brown ones from Stradivarius. If blue jeans are more your thing, these from Pretty Little Thing are a similar vibe to mine.

Biker Boots
I don’t remember a time that bike boots weren’t a staple for me. The second I feel a hint of cold, out the boots come. I currently have a simple black pair like these* from Bershka. However, I would LOVE to get a pair of Dr Martens. I just think that if I do want to spend that money on a pair of boots I’d want a funky pair – and I’m currently eying up these ones.

Puffer Coats
Another staple of mine in the last few years is the puffer coat. I currently have a mustard yellow one and a pink teddy one which I wear constantly. I have lots of colour in my wardrobe and sometimes it just doesn’t go together. So, I’ve been on the look out for some more neutral basics – and that’s where this* black hooded puffer jacket from Monki comes in (bonus points because it has a hood). However, this* lilac one is definitely a bit of me!

Cosy Pyjamas
I think it’s pretty obvious by now that I love being cosy – and my pyjamas are no exception. The ASOS pyjama section currently is amazing and I have so many sets in my wish list! But these* ones are giving me major Winter/Christmas vibes so they may just have to be purchased soon.

Or if you’re looking for a more cheesy, in your face Christmas pyjama set (also most definitely a bit of me) these ones from New Look have pigs in blankets on them – too adorable!!

Bodysuits
Bodysuits are something that I live in all year round – but especially in Winter as they’re a great layering piece. I also enjoy layering a basic bodysuit (like this* one from Miss Selfridge) over a more funky one like this one from Pretty Little Thing.

Beanies
I’ve never really been a hat person as I hate the ‘hat hair’ that you get once you take them off. But after my recent trip to Edinburgh (which you can read more about here), I have been loving a beanie specifically and definitely want to grow my collection. This* dark green one from Collusion and this chocolate brown one from Boohoo may just fall into my basket soon…

Sweatshirts/Hoodies
Last, but by no means least, is sweatshirts/hoodies. Hoodies have always been a staple of mine and they’re definitely a comfort item of clothing for me. I liked having the hood as it used to cover my neck as that’s always been a big insecurity of mine (read more about my journey with body hair here). This* ASOS one is definitely a bit of me as I love all things constellations, zodiac, the sun etc etc.

But styling a sweatshirt with a high neck bodysuit has been something that I’ve been loving recently. And I’ve just ordered this beaut Christmas one from my dear friend Cherrelle (you definitely need to check her out, she’s fab!).

I love wearing things that make me feel good in them, and this is definitely filled with them.

So, was this list what you expected? Or do you think I’ve missed out one of my usual wardrobe staples? Let me know in the comments below!
