My New Blogging Space

Ever since I made the decision that I wanted to get back into blogging, I knew that I needed a dedicated area for all of my notebooks and planning. I was happy enough just to borrow half of the dining table and have a shelf for my stuff.

However, this year I am lucky enough to be living in a house that has a spare room that could be made into an office. Because I am currently renting a house with my boyfriend and best friend, it meant that we had almost two of everything. Therefore, I have been able to use the dining table from my old flat as my desk.

I’m a very visual person, so I enjoy having photos and pretty objects around me. So, I have a couple of photos of friends and one of myself when I was younger. When I have my forever home, I will definitely have more photos on display. I also have a gorilla statue. If you’ve read my ‘How To Deal With Sadness’ post, you will know that I lost my Uncle a few years ago. The gorilla is a joke between us and therefore, reminds me of him and makes me smile.

I’m also a bit of a stationery addict. So, I have a mug of pens and a mug of highlighters. I have a lot more – these are just some of my favourites. I’m a big fan of Beanies (click here for my post about the brand), so obviously I had to use one of their mugs. The other mug was a gift from when I graduated. I will be sharing a post all about this. But I felt that it was a little insensitive to post it with everything going on currently - but I will share it soon. It has a cute quote on it and helps to keep me inspired.

I also keep two books on my desk. I didn’t pick these books for any particular reason besides I like how they look, and they’re books that help me feel inspired and calm. One is a book about home life and the other book is about business (two of my passions). I’ve topped the books with a fake plant and a guardian angel.

I also have a variety of notebooks that I use for all of my notes and doodles. I use this chair to help me organise my notebooks and it makes a great little shelf and helps to minimise the feeling of clutter on my desk. I also like to keep my current reading book on my desk, so I can pick it up whenever I can.

I also have this phone holder that I was given ages ago. You can attach your phone to it and use it like a home phone. It’s not the most practical thing, but it’s a bit of fun and I love it!

I also recently treated myself to an iPad. I’ve wanted one for such a long time and I just felt that now was a good time to get it. It also meant that I could move all of my blog stuff from my phone over to the iPad and finally get some space back on my phone. Honestly, it’s been amazing! I know that it was a bit of a splurge, but it’s going to help with me blogging, editing and general life and I’m so happy that I’ve been able to buy it.

And obviously, I always have a mug of something hot to drink.

I’ll be honest, the rest of the room is a bit of a mess. The house doesn’t have much storage – but we try and make do. I’m so excited for the day that I am in my forever home and can have a proper office. I’ve been dreaming of my forever home since I was little; so, I have lots of ideas! Maybe I could do a post about some of my ideas?

I hope you have enjoyed having a nose at my new blogging space. If you’re curious as to how I write blog posts, click here.

I hope you all have a wonderful day. And don’t forget to follow me on social media.
