My Top Picks On Netlfix – September 2021

How has it taken me this long to write another Netflix round-up? For a lass who is constantly watching something that’s poor effort – so I’m sorry! I love sitting and watching Netflix in the evening over food, so I definitely need to write more of these.

So, these are some of the shows that I’ve been watching since my last Netflix post (which you can read here). Let me know what you think in the comments below.

1.      Clickbait
“When family man Nick Brewer is abducted in a crime with a sinister online twist, those closest to him race to uncover who is behind it and why” – Netflix.

I’ve just finished this, but I just had to add it as it was so good!!

If you watch Netflix, then I’m sure this will have been recommended to you as (at the time of writing) it’s currently Number 1 in the UK. My boyfriend and I were looking for something new to watch, so decided on this as we’d heard good things – and we definitely weren’t disappointed!

2.      The Kominksy Method
“Acting coach Sandy Kominksy and best friend Norman Newlander keep each other laughing as they navigate the ups and downs of getting older” – Netflix.

I haven’t finished this series yet but wanted to include it as I love it already and it just warms my heart. I’ve only watched a few episodes so far, but it’s already discussed a lot of important issues - for example death & addiction – and I love Sandy and Norman’s relationship through it. If you’re looking for something heart-warming, definitely watch this!

3.      Dream Home Makeover
“Dreams come true for real families looking for the perfect home tailored to their own unique style, thanks to Shea and Syd McGee of Studio McGee” – Netflix.

For as long as I can remember I’ve been designing my dream home (until I lost it all when my laptop broke & hadn’t backed up properly…but that’s another story). So, when I discovered this show I completely fell in love. I also adore Shea and Syd so much!

The show is based in America, so the houses are generally larger than usual compared to the UK – but a girl can dream right? No matter the size of your house this show is filled with inspiration, and I can’t wait for the new season!

4.      Get Organised With The Home Edit
“Expert home organizers Clea and Joanna help celebrities and everyday clients edit, categorize and contain their clutter to create stunning spaces” – Netflix.

Following on from the above show, once you’ve created your dream home, you’re obviously going to want to keep it organised – and this is where Clea and Joanna come in! Their organisation skills are incredible, and I could watch them and their team organise all day. They organise & tidy in a very real way and don’t make you feel bad for having things in your home that you want – they just show different ways to organise and reduce clutter.

5.      Criminal
“Within the walls of an interrogation room, London investigators question suspects accused of grievous crimes until the truth comes to light” – Netflix.

This show is just amazing!! If you’ve been following me for a while then you know that I love a good crime show – but this is done in such a great way!

The whole show is set in the interrogation room as the suspect tells the story. There’s no fight scenes or dramatic action – just talking. But it’s no less impactful or incredible!

If you’ve watched this, please send me a DM on Instagram as I want to find more people to talk about this show with!

6.      Down To Earth
“Actor Zac Efron journeys around the world with wellness expert Darin Olien in a travel show that explores healthy, sustainable ways to live” – Netflix.

I watched this last year when it came out but wanted to give it some love again as I love shows like this! Any show about the world and looking after it is right up my street (David Attenborough will always have my heart).

This show is so interesting and if you’re interested about learning about conservation and sustainability, then give this a watch. Also, who doesn’t love a bit of Zac Efron?!

7.      Unsolved Mysteries
“Real cases of perplexing disappearances, shocking murders and paranormal encounters fuel this gripping revival of the iconic documentary series” – Netflix.

I don’t usually enjoy watching unsolved things as my heart always hurts afterwards and I’m the kind of person who holds onto that hurt (I have no idea why? Maybe it’s empathy). But this series is a must-watch! It’s filled with so many different stories and it’s so intriguing to watch! There is also a new season of this coming soon and I am very excited!

Bonus. Sex Education
“Insecure Otis has all the answers when it comes to sex advice, thanks to his therapist mom. So rebel Maeve proposes a school sex-therapy clinic” – Netflix.

I had to mention this one as I am so excited for the new season (coming this Friday FYI!!). It is one of my all-time favourite shows and I cannot wait to binge watch it again!!
