My Current Shower Routine

It’s no secret that I love a good pamper; although I don’t actually do it very often. But one thing that I do do often is showering (naturally…). So, I’ve gathered my current shower products together and put it in a blog post. I’ve also listed it in routine order. I don’t use all products for every shower – but this is a full list.

I’m not sure if this is very interesting, but I’ve enjoyed looking at what products I use and how often I change it up.

Shampoo & Conditioner

I had this shampoo and conditioner as a present for Christmas and I absolutely love them. I really like the smell of banana products, so I knew that I would like these. The gift was influenced by the fact that I already had a banana scented hair mask (which you can read about below). I’m not sure how much they actually do for my hair compared to other shampoos and conditioners that I’ve previously used – but my hair does feel good afterwards and the banana smell stays in my hair for days. They’re also paraben free and vegan. Plus they’re only £1.

Hair Mask

As mentioned above, I have a banana scented hair mask. The one I use is from The Body Shop and I absolutely love it! I’ve been using it for about 2/3 years now and I don’t want to use anything else. However, I am coming to the end of my current tub. So, if anyone has any hair mask recommendations, please let me know in the comments down below.

I typically use the hair mask around once a week and this is enough to keep my hair feeling silky smooth and smelling like a banana sweet (which is also caused by the shampoo and conditioner).

Shower Gel

Yes, I have three shower gels and yes, I use them all…I change it up depending how I’m feeling.

Firstly, another product to add to my banana collection. This keeps me smelling even more like those foamy banana sweets that I love.

YogNog is my favourite scent from LUSH, so obviously I had to get the shower gel. The smell makes me feel all cosy and happy and that is my favourite feeling. This year I’m saving up to hopefully get more products in this scent as I absolutely love it!

Finally, the Body Shop almond milk & honey shower gel. This was another gift for Christmas and is great for sensitive skin. My body temperature is forever fluctuating, so I often end up getting heat rash on my legs and arms – this instantly soothes the itch and makes my skin feel so smooth and soft. One of my favourites to use after a long day as it helps me to feel relaxed.

Body Scrub

I’ve been using this scrub for years and I’m absolutely obsessed. It contains brown sugar, lime, almond oil and macadamia grains and the smell is to die for. I typically use this before shaving to exfoliate my skin and ensure that I don’t have any ingrown hairs. I don’t have much to say about this product except if you ever get the chance, just go and smell it and hopefully you’ll love it too.

Body Shaving Cream

I’m not sure why I have two shaving creams; I guess I’m a bit of a hoarder. But foaming shower gels are my favourite thing to use to shave my legs. They make my legs feel so much smoother after shaving than anything else I’ve used. The smell of these two are some of my favourites. I love sweet smells and things that smell like baked goods, so these two are great! I bought the Sanctuary Spa one from Boots; but I couldn’t find it on the website. So, here’s a link to it on the Saver’s website. And click here for the Imperial Leather one.

Intimate Shaving

I found this brand a few years ago and haven’t used anything else since. It makes shaving so much easier and helps to reduce shaving bumps and ingrown hairs. I also use a post-shave balm once I get out of the shower to also help reduce bumps and ingrown hairs.

Intimate Wash

I don’t feel like products like FemFresh are talked about that much. But for me, it’s important. It ensures that I’m kept fresh and clean. I’m not an expert, so I can’t give any advice, but I know that it works for me. And it’s important to look after your vagina, just like any part of your body.

Face Wash/Scrub

I try to use the blackhead scrub daily anyway, but I always feel like it works better when I am in the shower. It lathers up more and I can feel the beads getting into the blackheads – especially around my nose. If I’m feeling more of a general face scrub, I use the Nip+Fab one. I was given this as part of a gift for Christmas and I love it. It makes my skin feel so soft and smooth and makes me feel like my face has had a proper clean.

I hope you’ve enjoyed having a nose at what products I use in the shower. What’s your favourite product to use in the shower? And do you have any recommendations of products that you think I should use? Let me know in the comments below. And don’t forget to follow my socials.
