Adulting Is Hard: Tips To Make Friends In Your 20’s
Making friends as an adult compared to when you’re a child are two completely different experiences. As a child I remember so many situations where one child would go up to another, announce that they were now friends and that was that – friendship created! I’m not so sure that this would go down as well as an adult…
Long Distance Friendship Stories & Advice
Something that has been on my mind a lot recently is “when am I going to see my friends & family again?” I’ve been long-distance with my family & friends since I moved to Liverpool for university nearly 5 years ago (& my boyfriend for a period of time). And even though I definitely don’t see them all enough, the lockdowns have made it even more difficult.
So, I asked some lovely ladies that I know about their experiences of long-distance friendships – so, here are their stories.
My Relationship With My Body Hair
This is quite a tough post for me to write as it’s something that I’ve struggled with for a really long time.
Why We Should Choose Passion Over Perfection
So, let’s talk about choosing passion over perfection.
During lockdown so many people have turned their hobbies into a business, and I think that it’s incredible!! If you love your hobby enough to take it full-time and start earning money – to me that’s absolutely amazing! However, I do sometimes feel that there is a sense of pressure that if you’re good at something you must start selling it and making money – because money is the only thing worth doing anything for… Obviously, if you want to pursue your hobbies and make money from it – then definitely go for it! But if you want to keep your hobby as a hobby then do it!
Let’s Talk About Boobs…Again
If you know me, then you’ll likely know that I talk about boobs a lot. I’ve struggled with body confidence throughout my life and always had such a negative view of most of my body. However, I’ve pretty much always loved my boobs🧡
Whether you have big boobs, small boobs, perky boobs saggy boobs – whatever your boobs are like they’re great! And I’m yet to find anyone that disagrees😂
Career Or Children? Which Should You Choose?
Throughout my time in education I was so often asked about future career plans and the prospect of starting a family – and this is often asked in the form of making a choice. Will I pursue a career, or will I start a family? It never seemed to be offered as a joint package.
So, let’s talk about that. Personally, do I want a career, or do I want children? The answer…
The 'Burn-Out' Generation - Lizzie Sara
In order to help keep the blog exciting, it was decided that members of my friends and family could write guest posts and I would publish them. The first one is by my friend Lizzie. Lizzie is an amazing writer and I can’t wait to work with her again. The rest of the guest posts won’t have this awkward introduction, but I felt it important to introduce this series to my readers – enjoy!
I’ve put off writing a blog for quite some time. I remember talking to Cerys about writing a blog probably a year or two ago (drunk in the girls’ toilets because who goes to the toilet alone???) – it seemed like something that I would enjoy, and I love talking about my experience of what being a working-class student at a top University is like. I just couldn’t seem to write anything down. Today, is the day that I finally plucked the courage to write something and share something I felt a lot of people could resonate with.
My Biggest Fears
Since we’ve just celebrated Halloween, I thought that it was only appropriate to talk about fears. Some of them are basic and some of them are a bit deep.
If anyone has any fears that they want to share, please comment below.
How To Deal With Sadness
Some of you may have noticed that I went MIA for a few weeks (if you didn’t, thanks…). The reason for this is because I was grieving the death of my Uncle; who was a very important person in my life.
The One About Tinder
I’ve re-written this post so many times and each result is very different. I quite enjoyed using Tinder. Although kinda shy, I am quite a sociable person. So, I enjoyed the conversational element and the ability to speak to such a wide range of people.
Let’s Talk About Boobs
If you’ve ever had a conversation with me, there’s a high chance that we would have spoken about my boobs. Whether I bring them up, someone else does, or they’re brought up a different way; my boobs are often a part of my everyday conversations.
Everyone has some sort of ‘boobage’, it’s just women’s that are typically discussed more. Whether they’re “too big” or “too small” or “too” something else, someone always has something to say about someone else’s boobs.
A Fuckboy-Magnet's Guide to Fuckboys
From what I have experienced there are three types of fuckboys; the ‘reforming fuckboy’ (I am yet to find one that has ‘’fully reformed’’), the ‘active fuckboy’, and the ‘fuckboy in denial’. No matter which category the individual falls into, fuckboys are set out to mess with your head.
