Small Business Christmas Gift Guide 2020

If you’ve been anywhere on social media recently, you’ll likely have seen lots of posts promoting the idea of “shopping small” this Christmas. I definitely shop small when I can as I love quirky, individual and personalised pieces. Not On The High Street and Etsy are usually the first place that I search for any kind of gift – even for myself. They are filled with amazing small businesses and I want to share some of the small businesses that I have found with you lovely people.

I could have written about so many more; but I didn’t want this post to go on forever (it’s already super super long)😂 I will definitely be doing another one next Christmas and I would love to write more posts about small businesses – so if you’re not mentioned in this one and would like to be in the next one – please send me a message🧡

In complete transparency I haven’t personally shopped from all of these businesses; however, they are on my Christmas wish list for this year and beyond😉

Also, some of these gorgeous business owners have written their own blog posts which I will be sharing over the next few weeks. They will be talking more in-depth about their businesses and the faces behind them. So, don’t forget to give them all some love🧡

So, on that note grab a cuppa and get comfy as this is a long one🥰

Clothing & Accessories

I am a big lover of clothing and accessories! So, this is one of the biggest sections and is filled with so much goodness🧡

Bad Hair Clay
Throughout secondary school I always had some sort of accessory in my hair. By the time I got to college I hated having anything in my hair and that continued throughout university and beyond until recently when I discovered Bad Hair Clay and absolutely fell in love with her clips! I currently own 3 sets of her clips, but I could honestly spend all of my money on all of them because they’re so beautiful🥰

Frazzles Scrunchies
When scrunchies first came back into fashion they weren’t a bit of me. However, I now own around 20 maybe 25 so that’s firmly changed😂

Whatever scrunchie style you’re looking for – whether that’s bold block colours, Christmas fun or a funky pattern – Frazzles Scrunchies has it all. I love every single scrunchie that they create, and I can’t wait to buy some!!

Fran has also written a guest post which will be shared on November 23rd – I can’t wait for you to read it🧡

Millie Sparkles
I had to include Millie in this list as she is a very lovely friend of mine🥰 Millie creates the most gorgeous clothes and accessories that are filled with personality. I have recently bought a zebra print mask with matching scrunchie from her – however, I had to go into isolation before I could get them, but I will share photos as soon as I do.

As her name suggests she also creates super sparkly headbands which are so gorgeous! I may just have to purchase some of these soon too🧡

RYE The Collection
One thing that the majority of us can say we’ve been wearing more of during lockdown is definitely loungewear. At RYE The Collection you can get a funky tie dye jogger set with matching socks – I don’t know about you but that sounds like the dream to me *heart A lilac set is definitely on my Christmas wish list this year🥰

Beth will be sharing her guest story when she guest posts on November 30th - so look out for that🧡

Crochet By Beth
Beth makes some of the most adorable crochet clothes and accessories. As Christmas approaches, she has been creating festive scrunchies and gloves and even little stocking decorations. If you’re looking for gifts, or even something for yourself with that handmade touch then definitely check out Beth’s Instagram and Depop.

Made By Moll
If you’re looking for some funky crochet pieces then look no further than Made By Moll. Although I’m not sure if I could wear one with my boobs, I adore the crochet crop tops/bralettes that she creates and think they would look great for a summer festival!

Bluebelle & Boo
I love personalised gifts and a personalised bracelet makes the sweetest gift. As someone who used to dabble in jewellery making; I know how much work and concentration goes into it. Bluebelle & Boo can customise the jewellery to fit your requests with a range of different colours and styles. I think I’d personally go with a black beaded design with a simple C initial as the personalisation. But I guess we’ll see what I go for when I purchase in the future🥰

Art & Homeware

I’m constantly dreaming about and planning my future home, so naturally this is the other biggest section. I definitely want a super cosy home filled with art and handmade touches.

Handmade By Aimee
Aimee makes the most beautiful soy wax candles, wax melts and tea lights that I think I’ve ever seen. I’ve been wanting a wax burner for ages (and have put one on my Christmas wish list this year as I keep forgetting to buy myself one) so I will definitely be ordering some of Aimee’s products after Christmas🧡 Candles and wax burners are perfect for filling your house with amazing smells and great for an at home spa day.

MYSA Box
If you’re a lover of wax melts and want new ones to burn every month then look no further than the MYSA Box – a wax melt subscription box. They include a range of wax melts and tea lights from small business – a small business that promotes small businesses! I never knew that I need this until I found them, and I will definitely be ordering a box soon. Their Instagram is also so relaxing to look at – so you have to check it out!

Prints By GG
I’d decided a couple of months ago that I wanted my own proper desk that I could dedicate to being creative and creating content for this blog and Instagram. So obviously, I knew that I needed to surround myself with positive and motivational quotes – so this is where Prints By GG came in. She creates the most gorgeous inspirational art that I couldn’t decide what I wanted – so, I ordered a mystery pack and let Georgia decide what I should have. She sent me the most gorgeous pack of quote cards and stickers and I absolutely adore them!!

I also gifted one of my friends a Bratz illustration of the both of us and it was amazing!!

She’s also recently started creating super quirky polaroid & tealight holders which I absolutely bloody love!!

Mini Me Art Co
If you’re looking for illustrations of your favourite celebrities, motivational quotes and amazing creativity then you have to check out Mini Me Art Co! I adore everything that she creates and her attention to detail is incredible – just look at her illustration of Jamie Genevieve!

Frankie Stevens Graphics
I’ve always thought that gifting someone an illustration of their house would make such a lovely present – and that’s exactly what Frankie does (as well as lots of other illustrations). Her attention to detail and creative style are beautiful to look at and I can’t wait to display her art in my future home.

Ifrah Doodles
Since this is a Christmas gift guide obviously, I’m going to talk about it a lot! But I just think that gifting a friend or family member an illustration of their favourite photo of you together would make such a gorgeous and sentimental gift that they would treasure forever. Ifrah Doodles creates such fun illustrations of your photos using bold and bright colours – I love them!

Lne.art – Made by Eleni
If you’re looking for some quirky art then check out Eleni who creates line art – often of the body. Her art is so beautiful, and each piece tells its own story. I love the emotion that each piece of art exudes.

Yours Sincerely Letters
I’ve included Yours Sincerely in this section as they also sell candles along with their main product. Yours Sincerely Letters sell the most gorgeous handwritten letters that can be personalised and made bespoke to you. Obviously, they’d make the most gorgeous gift for loved ones. But, as they mention on their website, they’d make amazing notes from businesses to their customers – I would love if I received a letter like this as a marketing tool!

Also, are you looking for Santa to send a personal letter to your child? Yours Sincerely can also arrange this for you🧡

Stationery & Craft

If you know me then you’ll know that I just love stationery and being crafty. I own so much that I don’t always know what to do with them – but I still want more😂

Hannah Lily Designs
If, like me, you love a good notebook and planner (although I’m terrible at actually using them) then I recommend that you have a look at Hannah Lily Designs. Her aim is to create elegant and empowering stationery and I think that she definitely achieves this. Her products are filled with inspiring quotes and are beautiful to look at. So, if this is what you’ve been looking for click the link below to look around her website and Instagram.

Hannah’s Guest Post will go live on December 14th - so make sure you’re you’ve got a cuppa ready to read🧡

Scrapbook Central
I’ve been planning to make scrapbooks for such a long time! I always found it difficult to find the right supplies and inspiration for what I wanted to create. If this also sounds like you then you should have a look at Scrapbook Central. She creates scrapbook kits to fit your needs which makes it so much easier for you to create your dream scrapbook and gather all of your memories. This is great to help you get organised, but also for a friend who you know will just love being able to get crafty.

Dork Face Creates
The ever so lovely Sarah (SarLauBlogs) recommended Dork Face Creates to me a while ago and I’m so glad that she did! Jemma creates an array of lovely products, from prints, to notebooks, to pins, to stickers and so much more! I bought loads of stickers recently with the plan to decorate my laptop and make it more personal. However, my laptop is quite damaged and has loads of cracks on it – so I’m kinda hesitant to stick the stickers on as I don’t want to lose them when I eventually get a new laptop😂

Jemma has such quirky designs and often creates designs based around TV shows and they’re always the most original and beautiful things I’ve ever seen🧡

Food

Personally, I found food to be the most difficult category. Lots of small businesses that I came across (naturally) only do the food deliveries local to where they’re based. But I did find these two that do offer postal deliveries and I desperately want to try them both🥰

Tee’s Treats
I love cake – so obviously when I discovered Tee’s Treats, I had to include it. She bakes the most delicious looking cupcakes, brownies and blondies that I think I’ve ever seen! Whether you’re treating yourself or sending as a gift – you cannot go wrong with a sweet dessert! All options are vegan and the majority can be made gluten or soy free - how amazing is that?!😍

The Sugar Fix Box
One of my most favourite things to eat is chocolate – white chocolate, milk chocolate, dark chocolate – all the chocolate😂 In particular I’m a big fan of the Hotel Chocolat slabs which have different chocolate and bits in them (which I currently can’t find😔). So, when I discovered a small business that creates something similar, I had to mention them. They’re only a recent discovery so I’m yet to try them – but I definitely will soon! They offer a range of different toppings from Kinder Hippos, to Aero, to Maltesers and so much more!

Self-Care

Because self-care is a big part of this blog, I had to mention some small businesses that can help with this! Maybe I could do a whole post dedicated to self-care small businesses? Let me know if that’s something that you’d be interested in.

Perl Cosmetics
If you’ve read my post about ‘
My Ultimate Day Off Routine’ then you’ll know that I love a face mask. But what I’ve never seen is a face mask that you can customise. You can adjust how much water/oil you add to the clay mask to decide how wet or dry you want it on your face – making it great for all skin types. This is definitely on my Christmas wish list!

Lil Something
I came across this brand when they followed me on Instagram recently. They create and sell a range of self-care boxes depending on the needs and type of recipient. If you’re not quite sure what to get someone or want to treat yourself to something a little bit different then Lil Something may be the business for you🧡

Disney

These items could fit into the other sections – but as a big Disney lover I wanted to have a whole section dedicated to the glorious Disney small businesses that I have discovered. This section could have been a lot bigger, but this post is already super long😂

Maybe in the future I could do a dedicated post to Disney small businesses? Let me know if this is something that you’d be interested in!

Dole Wicks Candle Co
I think it was Beth (Bethany Francesca) that I first saw post about Dole Wicks Candle Co on her Instagram stories and now I am obsessed *heart eyes I love Disney and I love candles – so clearly this is a dream combo for me! I’m yet to purchase any of the candles and they’re currently sold out – but I will definitely be getting my hands on some of them as soon as I can🧡

Wicked Fantasy Apparel
I bought one of these t-shirts a few month ago in preparation for my Disney World Florida trip. However, due to the current situation it’s been postponed. I am desperate to wear the t-shirt as it has 4 adorable drawings of Gus Gus on and Gus Gus is my absolute favourite Disney character!! It’s the most gorgeous top and I’m so excited to be able to wear it.

They offer some of the most adorable designs of a range of different characters. I’d like to incorporate more Disney into my everyday wardrobe; so, I may just have to place an order of some more t-shirts very soon🥰

Magical Day Apparel
There are no words to explain how much I love the designs of this business. They do a mixture of film, rides and general Disney designs and I’m obsessed! Whether you’re looking for something bold and obviously Disney or something a little more subtle; they have it all! The jumper below is definitely on my wish list🧡

So, that’s it! That’s my Small Business Gift Guide 2020 complete. I hope you’ve found some new businesses to support🧡

If you’re a small business owner and would like to write a guest post or feature in my next small business round up – please send me a message over on Instagram! I would love to share more of you🧡

Also, after finishing this post I realised that I have written about 25 small businesses – so I am going to try and share one of these businesses on my Instagram stories every day in December right up until Christmas (I will do 2 on one of the days) like a small business advent calendar. Let me know what you think of this idea?🥰

I hope you’re all doing well!

All my love
