7 Films/TV Shows With Badass Female Characters
If you’ve been reading my blog or following my Instagram for a while, you’ll know that I love watching movies and TV.
So, for my first post of Women’s History Month I’m celebrating those on screen. These are all ones that I’ve watched and loved and that’s why I’m recommending them. I’m also including a few that I haven’t watched but have heard great things about. If you have any suggestions, please leave them in the comments below.
10 Books That I Read In 2020
For the last few years, I haven’t been making new year’s resolutions as I never stick to them and end up feeling rubbish about it. Instead, I have been trying to create little goals of things that I want to improve or incorporate into my life. Last year I gave myself the goal of reading 12 books (1 a month). This may not seem like much, but I just never give myself enough time to read – even though I love reading!
8 Podcasts That Got Me Through 2020
I’ve listened to podcasts on and off for a few years – but it wasn’t until the end of 2019 and all throughout 2020 that I properly started listening to them.
For the majority of lockdown, I only saw about 4 people; so, I felt like listening to people talk on podcasts made me feel less lonely. That’s probably a bit sad, but it’s true*laughing They’re easy to listen to when you’re commuting, doing housework and just about anything – especially if you don’t feel like listening to music.
16 Films You Have To Watch This Christmas
I absolutely love Christmas – it just makes my heart happy. One thing that I love doing at this time of year is watching cosy films. The majority of the films mentioned are actual Christmas films – but I have mentioned a couple that aren’t necessarily Christmas related, but I just enjoy watching at this time of year. I could have mentioned so many more – but I didn’t want to bore you😂
This won’t be the most informational blog post, but I just thought that it would be a bit of fun to have a chat about some Christmas films.

Small Business Christmas Gift Guide 2020
If you’ve been anywhere on social media recently, you’ll likely have seen lots of posts promoting the idea of “shopping small” this Christmas. I definitely shop small when I can as I love quirky, individual and personalised pieces. Not On The High Street and Etsy are usually the first place that I search for any kind of gift – even for myself. They are filled with amazing small businesses and I want to share some of the small businesses that I have found with you lovely people.
Starting Again? Re-introduction To Me & My Blog
Oh hello! I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting on both myself and my blog recently, and I’ve had some new followers, so wanted to re-introduce myself and what I’m planning for this blog.
7 Inspiring Blogs You Need To Follow
As a blogger, I thought it was about time to support some of my fellow bloggers and write a post about some of my current favourites. Some of these blogs I’ve followed for ages, and others are recent. But they’re all absolutely amazing!!
So, enjoy reading and don’t forget to go over and give them all some love *heart
Reflecting On My University Experience - 1 Year On
Get yourself a coffee and a comfy seat, this is a long one…😂
So, this is a little late but, I’VE GRADUATED!
I graduated in July (2019), but I still can’t quite believe it! To be completely honest, I felt a bit lost after I finished uni – no more structure, no more deadlines, no more seeing loads of people – it was weird. But I’ve spoken to other ex-students about it and most of them feel the same – even after graduating 10 years go.
But that’s not what this post is about. I wanna talk to you about my whole uni experience – from living with strangers, to partying (or lack of in my case), to assignments, to just general everyday student life.
How Do I Feel About Blogging Again?
I’m feeling a bit sentimental, so I thought I would write a post reflecting on how I feel about blogging again. I’d originally planned to do this once I’d been blogging for 6 months – but I’ve decided that I want to do it now. But I do plan on doing another one at 6 months and going more in depth and talking and specific blog posts etc. Is there anything that you’d like me to include in that post? Let me know.
My Love For Whittard’s Hot Chocolate
If you love hot chocolate, but haven’t heard of Whittard’s, then this is the post for you!
Whittard Chelsea has quite an interesting history (which you can read about here 1). But in summary it was created in 1886 by Walter Whittard where he would sell coffee and tea related products. Since then, they have increased their stock and now offer a range of products. This includes; tea, coffee, hot chocolate, tableware and barista equipment.
To add, this isn’t the cheapest brand, but it does make a lovely treat and would make great gifts (they also do their own gift sets).
My Current YouTube Binge List
Oh look…another favourites post! I’ve been doing a lot of watching during lockdown…*laughing crying emoji* Id I’m completely honest I’m not very loyal to many YouTubers. I tend to use YouTube when I’m looking for specific videos – makeup, holiday packing, style inspiration etc. So, this post is more of a round-up of the people I have been watching the most during lockdown. I will likely make a few of these throughout the year – but here is who I have been watching recently.
The Ultimate Gift Guide
There’s many a gift guide for specific occasions such as Christmas, birthdays and Valentines. But have you ever wanted to get someone something just because? I know that life isn’t about presents or material items. However, I love making people smile with an unsuspecting gift or card. So, I thought I would gather a list of ideas that would make great gifts for anyone, at any time of year, for any occasion. I think this is also a great idea for during lockdown. I know that it’s being lifted in some areas – but most of us haven’t seen some of closest people in a while. So, sending them something to make them smile is never a bad idea.
This is just kind of a general list of ideas. But I hope that it gives you some inspiration.
3 Ways to Style A Denim Boiler Suit
I have completely fallen in love with this denim boiler suit from Primark. But I wasn’t always so convinced. For months before I bought it, I saw so many people wearing some sort of denim boiler suit and I always thought that they looked great. However, because I’m short and curvy, I didn’t think that it would suit me. But one day while I was browsing Primark, I decided to try one on and ended up loving it.
So, I thought I would create this post to hopefully give you some styling inspiration. I have styled the boiler suit 3 ways – casual, lunch with the girls and out-out. All of these outfits can be worn for any occasion, this is just some inspiration. Also, all of the pieces are items that I already had in my wardrobe – a bit of a shop my stash. Happy reading.
My New Best Bud...Disney+
I’ve loved Disney for as long as I can remember. So, when I discovered that Disney+ was coming to the UK I knew that I had to purchase it. And truthfully, it’s one of the best things that I have ever purchased. Disney films and TV shows fill me with so much happiness and nostalgia and has definitely helped me get through this lockdown and crazy world that we’re currently living in. Therefore, I thought I would compile a list of what I have been watching on Disney+ if anyone is looking for some inspiration or if you just want to be nosey – because who doesn’t.
The Best On Instagram Right Now
*in my humble opinion
Instagram is probably my favourite social media. It’s easy to use, pleasing to look at and filled with photos of interesting people and gorgeous places. Although I do have to admit that recently I’ve spent more time unfollowing accounts on Instagram rather than following. I definitely want to mix up my feed a bit more.
My Top Picks On Netflix - June 2020
I watch Netflix most days, so I thought that it was only right that I do an update on my favourite shows. I will likely end up doing one every few months as Netflix are forever switching up their content and I absolutely love it. I also thought that it may be helpful as we’re still in lockdown. If I’m honest, quite a lot of this is actually things that I have binged during lockdown…
